  • Google Ads conversion measurement and remarketing: we use Google Ads technologies to measure campaign performance and, where you have provided the required consent, to show ads to people who have previously visited our site. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to support conversion measurement, frequency capping, and personalised advertising.
  • Embedded video: when you play a video embedded from ScreenPal, ScreenPal may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser information, and interaction data under its own privacy policy.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including hosting, payment, analytics, advertising, and video providers, process data in the United States and other countries. Where UK or EEA personal data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law, such as adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, or Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential, analytics, and advertising cookies or similar technologies. Our consent tool is provided by Cookie Compliance. You can accept, reject, or change your choices using the Cookie Settings link on this site.

6.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are necessary for the website and checkout process to work. They may support functions such as maintaining a session, operating a shopping cart or booking process, preventing fraud, and enabling secure payment processing. These cookies do not require consent where they are strictly necessary.

6.2 Analytics cookies

With your consent where required, Google Analytics uses cookies or similar identifiers to help us understand how visitors use the site. These may include cookies such as _ga, _ga_*, and _gid. We use this information to improve the site and understand its performance.

6.3 Advertising and remarketing cookies

With your consent where required, Google Ads and Google Analytics Advertising Features may use first-party cookies and third-party cookies or similar identifiers together. This supports conversion measurement and remarketing, which means ads for Tim Teaches may be shown to people who previously visited this site when they browse Google services or other websites in Google’s advertising network.

Advertising cookies may include Google Ads and DoubleClick identifiers such as _gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc, IDE, or similar cookies set by Google. The precise cookies and retention periods may vary according to Google’s services, your browser settings, and the consent choices you make.

6.4 Managing your choices

  • Use the Cookie Settings link on this site to change analytics and advertising preferences.
  • Use Google’s My Ad Center to manage personalised ads from Google.
  • Use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you do not want Google Analytics to collect data in supported browsers.
  • Manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect site, booking, or checkout functionality.

For more information about how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps.

7. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements. Typical retention periods are:

Data type Typical retention period
Booking, order, and payment records Up to 6 years, where required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes
Contact-form messages and support correspondence Up to 2 years from the last correspondence, unless a longer period is needed for a booking, legal claim, or other legitimate purpose

8. Your data-protection rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • request access to the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • ask us to delete personal data where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it;
  • ask us to restrict certain processing;
  • receive certain data in a portable format;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests; and
  • withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.

You have an absolute right to object to direct marketing. To exercise your rights, email info@cognizense.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within the period required by applicable law, normally one month under UK GDPR.

If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

9. California and other United States privacy rights

Where applicable United States state privacy laws apply, residents may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. As explained above, Google Ads remarketing may be treated as “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under some laws. You may opt out of this activity through Cookie Settings or Google’s advertising controls.

To make a privacy request, email info@cognizense.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We will verify your identity before processing the request where required.
